Reverend Aurea Martínez Vilar founded the Association of the Christian Child in New York, after having established in Puerto Rico the Children's Congresses throughout the Island and the Great Child Parade.

 

In New York, She worked hard with Hispanic children, impacting government circles and the Hispanic colony of New York.

 

The Great Child Parade was founded by her in 1958. Many of the teachers, leaders, pastors, musicians, missionaries and good citizens today are products of the Parada del Niño in New York, which extended to Chicago, New Jersey, Colombia and Puerto Rico.
